Home Health Gold is committed to developing software allowing agencies to:
  • Access and study OASIS and billing data to address assessment outcomes and quality of care.
  • Quickly create comprehensive reports with the information home health managers need.
  • Place the ability to generate these reports on the desktops of all managers so they can quickly find the answers to their questions.
  • Combine data from separate systems without rekeying data.

David J. Merk David J. Merk created Home Health Gold's first product, Professional, in 1997 to answer the unmet need he and his colleagues had for accessing and organizing the patient and service data trapped within their billing systems. David brought to this task eighteen years of experience in home health administration, eleven of those as CEO. This was combined with his expertise developing fast, friendly information systems for health and social providers for the company he founded in 1986, The Manager, Inc.

Over the years, David has continued to add unique features to enhance Professional as new mandates and regulations have come about. As well as adding HHG OASIS Buddy and Best Buddy to the Home Health Gold product line to offer alternative pricing and functionality.

David is a graduate of Brown University, and earned a master's degree from the University of Illinois.

Robert Bouthot Robert Bouthot assists David in development and general support. He offers our customers technical support, installing applications and providing knowledgeable guidance. He is also responsible for website maintenance. His experience includes software development and website design.

Robert earned a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Information Systems from The University of Maine at Augusta.


Rhonda Ralph Mike Carr Rhonda Ralph and Mike Carr make up our training and customer support team. Rhonda and Mike ensure that our customers receive ten hours of insightful, practical training. They are also available to provide demonstrations of our products and consult with customers on how the unique advantages our products offer can best help their agencies.

Rhonda has thirteen years of experience in home health as a director of clinical services. Having a clinical background and broader picture insights, provided by her management responsibilities, she has both a thorough knowledge and a veterans' understanding of home health administration and OASIS.

Rhonda earned a bachelor's of science degree in Health Administration from Kennedy-Western, and a nursing degree from Western Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Newfoundland, Canada.

Mike is a Physical Therapist who has been involved in home health care for the past eighteen years. He brings into discussions with current and potential customers knowledge gained through years of providing home visits and hands on clinical care for patients, combined with his unique perspective as a physical therapist.

Mike graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of New England.

Nancy Gaylord Merk Nancy Gaylord Merk produces informational materials for our products and interviews customers. Nancy's experience includes working as managing editor of the Port of Philadelphia's magazine, project manager at Penn's Landing responsible for events along Philadelphia's riverfront, and as manager of public relations for a medical center.

Nancy graduated from Vassar College.
